He prescribes generic meds when possible to help his patients with the ever increasing cost of prescriptions. Dr. Kornegay cares for the well being of each of his patients. Dr Kornegay is the best GP I have ever had He knew exactly what other doctors did and explained the results of testing they did in addition to everything he did for me Outstanding

First, my lab workup was a week before. It was extremely efficient which has not been the case on numerous previous visits. The labs were taken efficiently and the staff was courteous. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Success! Secondly, I waited 15 minutes to see the medicare nurse. She was lacking in people skills, from asking questions to explaining her tasks. My blood pressure was out of the ordinary high and she did not treat me with professionalism. I'm pretty sure she added to my higher pressure. She was condescending when I didn't remember the third of three words. She was condescending when I clarified the common name of pravachol. Then I waited to go in a room for the doctor for 10 minutes before the next assistant realized I needed an eye test. People walked in front of the chart three times as I read it. It was 10 more minutes before the doctor came in the room. I have no complaints with my primary care. He is extremely attentive. Then another nurse had to sign in and review what his orders were before I left. Another lab and it went quickly. Some people skills, professional communication skills and awareness of patient's time is what I would suggest. Thanks.

I had an appt for my annual wellness and also the first part for my annual checkup. I have gotten a head cold the end of last week and since I was at Dr K's office I asked if I could see him for the cold. After I finished my lab work Dr K's nurse came over and took me back to the appt side so I could be seen by Dr K. He came in and we talked about how I was feeling. Sent me back to lab for a swab. Dr K called me with 2 hrs and gave me my diagnosis and called in a prescription. He is the ultimate Dr and so is his staff!!
