Growing up around physicians in my family sparked my interest in medicine from an early age. What ultimately drew me to anesthesiology was the immediate impact I could have on a patient's life. Observing rapid pain relief after performing nerve blocks and epidurals was deeply gratifying and pointed me toward the specialty that would define my career.

Dr Deering came fully prepared with all the background of my condition. He obviously had been over my MRI, x-rays, and other doctors notes prior to seeing me and was up to speed. He listened to me and asked my thoughts and opinions.
