My interest in rheumatology began during residency, when a preceptor recognized my enthusiasm for the specialty and encouraged me to pursue it. That encouragement sparked a passion for caring for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases and set me on the path to becoming a rheumatologist.
