About

My path to becoming a family nurse practitioner (FNP) grew out of years spent caring for some of the most critically ill patients in the hospital. After earning my nursing degree, I went straight into the surgical trauma intensive care unit where I cared for postoperative oncology, trauma and emergency surgical patients. That experience taught me how quickly health can change and how much it matters to have a clinician who sees you as a person beyond your condition.

I had been in the hospital with a serious problem so this was a follow up. I was a little apprehensive that I wasn't able to see my primary doctor who knows me. It turn out that I need not have been concerned, Hannah answered all my questions, helped me with some of the confusion that was caused at the hospital discharge and provided me with clear directions going forward. I left feeling much better than when I arrived.
