Since early childhood, I wanted to be a physician because it seemed like the best way to help others. I specifically chose family medicine because caring for patients and families through every stage and season of life is deeply meaningful to me. Dr. Miller ordered a chest x-ray to determine my treatment. I was again escorted to Radiation, immediately had the chest x-ray, and received the result as I was driving home. Dr. Miller then sent my prescription to the local CVS and my treatment began. Moreover, my primary care provider, Dr. Hommel, called to check up on me. I was grateful for all of this.

I felt like I got rushed out of the appointment because I asked a question about scheduling. I was immediately taken up to be the check out counter to do the scheduling but I didn't know the appointment was over and the doctor walked away and I didn't get to continue talking to her about my problem. I'm sure it wasn't intentional but it didn't feel like a proper end to a medical appointment with a primary care physician.
