Medicine fascinates me because of the detective work involved. Diagnosing issues for my patients takes understanding science and working with people to put together a full picture of a patient's health. I especially love endocrinology because the pathways that most of our hormones follow with feedback loops make sense to me, and I want to use that knowledge to help patients lead healthier, happier lives.

I feel that an educated patient is able to make the best decisions for their medical care....

Dr Farmer uses just enough pressure on the ultra sound to see the issue, which is wonderful when it's on your throat, making it very comfortable.

Dr Farmer is easy to feel comfortable and at ease with, she's attentive, listens carefully, remembers details, thoroughly answers my questions, explains options, and I feel that she truly cares. She treats me as an individual, a person. She's helped me with the "white coat syndrome" caused by too many bad experiences with different doctors through the past. She's always been reassuring and helpful, truly setting the example for the IDEAL doctor!
