Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center has partnered with New Hanover Regional Medical Center to station an AirLink aircraft at the Brunswick campus to enable the rapid transport of patients who need critical, specialty interventions available at NHRMC and other trauma centers.
Novant Health has partnered with New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Cape Fear Heart Associates to offer mobile diagnostic cardiac catheterizations performed by Cape Fear Heart Associates’ Dr. Joshua Winslow twice a month at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. In addition, Dr. J. Andrew Smith of Novant Health Surgical Associates is able to perform vascular studies on the mobile unit.
Through this partnership between Novant Health and Dosher Memorial Hospital, board-certified general surgeons from Novant Health Surgical Associates will perform surgeries at both Dosher Memorial Hospital and Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center.
The Novant Health mobile mammography unit is a motorized coach that brings a mammography machine to where you live and work, as well as where you attend civic activities and faith-based services. Our goal is to ensure all women have access to high-quality breast health services, regardless of their ability to pay or travel to a full-service imaging center.
Novant Health has expanded labor and delivery services to include midwifery and natural birthing solutions. In addition to midwifery services, Brunswick Medical Center offers a variety of natural birthing solutions to laboring mothers. During labor, mothers have the option to use nitrous oxide, birthing balls, yoga balls and a squat bar to help them during delivery.
Novant Health opened Novant Health Orthopedics & Spine in Supply, North Carolina. The clinic will provide degenerative spine condition care, orthopedic spine surgeries and spinal pain management services.
Novant Health is expanding access to care across North Carolina through its partnership with Tyto Care, creator of the healthcare industry’s first all-in-one modular device and telehealth platform for on-demand, remote medical exams. This technology will allow parents across North Carolina to connect with a Novant Health provider who can virtually examine the heart, lungs, skin, ears, throat and abdomen of children from wherever they are potentially eliminating an emergency room or the doctor’s office visit.
Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center is now offering cardiac calcium scoring for only $99 to help detect heart disease earlier. A cardiac score is a noninvasive, quick and simple CT scan that detects calcium buildup, or plaque, in the arteries and detects the risk for heart disease and a future cardiac event. Cardiac calcium scoring may also be covered by insurance.
On Aug. 21, Novant Health opened its first pediatric clinic in Brunswick County. Our providers offer preventative healthcare and comprehensive diagnoses and treatments to infants, children and adolescents. Pediatricians specialize in pediatric primary care, following young patients from birth through college age.
Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center recently opened a new sleep center that offers diagnostic services for a full range of sleep disorders: sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and restless limb disorder.
