"Hey Google, talk to Novant Health!"

Now you can use any Google Home device or Android mobile phone to talk to the new Novant Health Google Home assistant.

The voice activated software allows you to search for Novant Health locations such as hospitals, clinics, urgent cares, and express cares. You can search by medical specialty such as emergency, orthopedics, cancer, neurology, etc.

Ask Google to search for a "nearby location" or "within 5 miles", city and state or by zip code. Other options include asking Google about locations with wait times, where walk-ins are welcome, and flu shots or x-rays are available, hours of operation, and if locations are open or closed. The Novant Health Google Home assistant is automatically integrated with Android phones. Users with iPhones will need to download the Google Home app from the Apple store.

“Alexa, ask Novant Health!”

Once you download Alexa Skills, you will need to sync it with your Alexa device and then use the voice commands to ask Alexa to search for Novant Health locations and specialties. You can search by location type such as hospitals, clinics, urgent care or express care. Or search by specialty such as pediatrics, emergency, heart and vascular, or weight loss.

Other details that Alexa can tell you is if a location accepts walk-ins, provides x-rays or flu shots, hours of operation, if a location is open or closed at the time that you ask, etc.
