Scheduled video visits

How to schedule a video visit

Please call your doctor’s office or send your provider a message on MyChart to request a scheduled video visit. Once your visit is scheduled, you will be able to access it from the appointments section of your MyChart account.


Desktop

Things you need before you get started:

  1. A computer with a built-in or external video camera, speaker and microphone
  2. The Zoom application for desktop
  3. A Zoom account using your email address

Get started:

  1. Log onto your MyChart account.
  2. Click the "Visits" tab in the top navigation, and select “Appointments and visits.”
  3. Locate your upcoming video appointment and click “E-check-in". Complete the e-check-in process
  4. The “Begin video visit” button will activate within 15 minutes of the start of your appointment. (Your e-check-in must be complete before you can see your provider.)
  5. When the button is activated and you are ready to start, click on the button. You will be sent to the Zoom app to wait for your provider.
  6. When your doctor is ready, he or she will join the call and your visit will begin.

On-demand video visits

Desktop

Things you need before you get started

  3. The Zoom application for desktop
  4. A Zoom account using your personal email address

Get started

  1. Log onto your MyChart account.
  2. Select “On-Demand Video Visit” in Quick Links on the right side of the page.
  3. Select your country and state.
  4. Select “General Video Visit."
  5. Make sure the “My Computer” option is selected.
  6. If you have a camera, microphone and speaker for your desktop, click “I HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED.”
  7. Click “PUT ME IN LINE.”
  8. Complete the e-check-in process.
  9. When your provider is ready to see you, you will receive a notification on your MyChart account or via email.

On-demand video visits

Mobile

Things you need before you get started

  1. The MyChart app from the Apple or Google Play store
  2. A MyChart account
  3. The Zoom app from the Apple or Google Play store
  4. A Zoom account using your personal email address
  5. Disabled pop-up blockers (How do I do that?)

Get started

  1. Log onto your MyChart account.
  2. Click the “On-Demand Video Visit” icon.
  3. Select your country and state.
  4. Select “General Video Visit." (If you have a Tyto device, find your instructions here.)
  5. Click “PUT ME IN LINE.”
  6. Complete the e-check-in process.
  7. When your provider is ready to see you, you will receive a notification on your MyChart app or via email.

How to disable pop-up blockers

Apple

  1. Tap your Settings icon.
  2. Find “Safari” and select it.
  3. Under “General,” turn the “Block Pop-ups" switch off.

Android

  1. Go to “Chrome.”
  2. Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select “Advanced” from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select “Site Settings.”
  5. Select “Pop-ups and redirects,” and then switch it to “Allowed.”

Scheduled video visits

How to schedule a video visit

Please call your doctor’s office or send your provider a message on MyChart to request a scheduled video visit. Once your visit is scheduled, you will be able to access it from the appointments section of your MyChart account.

  3. The Zoom app from the Apple or Google Play store
  4. A Zoom account using your personal email address

Get started:

  1. Log onto your MyChart account.
  2. Find and click the calendar icon. On Apple devices, click the icon that says, “Scheduled Office/Video Visits.” On Android devices, click the icon that says, “Schedule Video Visit.”
  3. Locate your future video visit.
  4. When you click on the visit, complete the e-check-in process.
  5. Click the Test Hardware button to ensure the webcam and microphone are functioning correctly.
  6. The “Begin visit” button will activate within 15 minutes of the start of your appointment. (Your e-check-in must be complete before you can start your visit.)
  7. When you click the button, you will be sent to the Zoom app to wait for your provider.
  8. When your doctor is ready, she or he will join the call and your visit will begin.

  6. You should receive feedback on your request within four hours.
