Medical Park Hospital

Advanced technology and expert diagnostic support

For your physician to make the best diagnosis and recommend your best course of treatment, he or she needs to be able to count on having the latest diagnostic tools available – especially sophisticated imaging that reveals potential problems.

Use the links below to learn more about imaging services available at Novant Health Medical Park Hospital, including how to prepare for your procedure and when to expect the results.

A discogram uses X-rays and special dye injected into your spinal disks to help determine if back pain could be caused by an abnormal disk in your spine.

Fluoroscopy uses real-time X-rays to evaluate bodily functions, including the upper and lower tracts of your gastrointestinal system.

Intravenous pyelography

Intravenous pyelography (IVP), also called intravenous urography, uses X-rays to produce pictures of the kidneys, bladder, ureters and urethra.

Ultrasound is a safe and effective diagnostic tool using reflected sound waves to examine many different parts of your body.

X-ray exams use small doses of radiation to produce pictures that help diagnose tumors or bone injuries.

For all diagnostic imaging procedures, you must be referred by your physician. P lease ask your physician for a referral. Your physician’s office staff can assist you with your appointment.

If you need to find a physician, please review our online directory or call us at 336-718-7000.
