Join us for our 13th annual Festival of Trees ceremony
Novant Health Matthews Medical Center’s 13th Annual Festival of Trees will not be holding the annual tree lighting event physically again this year, but the spirit of giving will still be present.
The annual tree auction will move again completely online this year due to the coronavirus and uncertainty about guidelines on large gatherings come late November.
The Festival of Trees, a fundraiser for several non-profit organizations in the Matthews community, individuals, businesses, churches and organizations fills the hospital lobby with brilliantly decorated holiday trees.
The tree lighting ceremony on the traditional week before Thanksgiving will be virtual with more information to come.
The trees will be displayed on the Festival (virtual app) and the community can bid on the donated trees online. The silent online auction will run online November 18 through December 12. The highest bidder at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, will “win” the tree. Winners will be notified December 14-15 and trees can be picked up starting December 14, 2021. All trees will be showcased online with photos and information about the organization or source of inspiration for the tree.
