At Charleston Breast Center, we understand the importance of both preventive screenings to detect disease early, and accurate imaging should a concern be identified. That’s why we offer a range of imaging and biopsy services to both diagnose and investigate medical concerns.
We want to make getting these services as easy as possible. You can schedule a visit as early as 7:30, and you can visit our clinic as late as 8 p.m. This means you can get the care you need before you head to work or after you’re done with a busy day.

Charleston Breast Center brings the most advanced imaging services available to patients in and around Charleston and Mount Pleasant. Whether you need a routine mammogram to monitor your ongoing health or a biopsy to further investigate a concern, our team will get you and your providers accurate information so you can make informed decisions about your health.

Scheduling your visit
A referral is required before you receive service from our clinic. We will contact you to schedule your visit once we receive your referral information. If you know your provider has sent in your referral information, you can call us at 843-419-6067 to schedule your visit.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time. Bring:
- Your photo ID
- Your insurance card
- Your method of copayment or payment in full
- Any requisition/imaging order form you have received from your provider
Imaging Appointments
To get an appointment for most diagnostic imaging procedures, you typically must have a referral and physician's order. Start with talking with your primary care provider about your concern. They can help get you on the path to getting an imaging referral if needed. Novant Health imaging centers accept all physician imaging orders.
If you have had a previous imaging procedure and need new images, you do not need go back to the same imaging center you went to before. Our radiologists can request the images from your previous exam(s) to compare to your new results.
It is important that you keep your scheduled imaging appointment. If you will be late due to an emergency, please call our scheduling team as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule.
What to Bring
Please bring the following documents to your appointment. Make sure your insurance card is current for the date of your exam.
Costs & Insurance
Insurance company approval may be required (“prior authorization”) even with valid imaging orders from your provider.
Appointment costs vary depending on specific procedure, your insurance coverage, and the imaging center. Good faith estimates are provided and discounted services may be available if you don't have insurance.
