Our services
Novant Health Maternal-Fetal Medicine – Charlotte provides diagnostic services and supportive care to expectant parents and their unborn babies. Our team will work with your existing obstetric providers to identify potential concerns and develop a plan to address them. Our services include:
- Genetic counseling to review your family history and determine the level of risk your fetus might have for genetic problems or birth defects
- Ultrasounds to provide prenatal diagnoses, or identify or monitor growth or development concerns
- Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and amniocentesis, to look closely at a biopsy from the placenta or a sample of amniotic fluid
- Fetal treatments to address any concerns that can be handled before delivery
- Management of medical complications during pregnancy for expectant parents suffering from diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease, lupus, sickle cell disease, blood clotting disorders, heart disease, kidney disease, and HIV and other infections
