Kernersville Medical Center is among 8% of hospitals in the country to receive this honor through the Magnet Recognition Program. Studies published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information suggest that patients have better health outcomes in hospitals where nurses have higher levels of satisfaction. The Magnet Recognition Program looks at measures of job satisfaction among nurses, including length of employment and career development opportunities.
