At Forsyth Medical Center and Maya Angelou Women's Health & Wellness Center, we want to ensure the health and well-being of our patients and our
community. We offer education opportunities on-site and online that meet the needs of every individual.
We have a large network of support groups and support providers available to assist during times of
health success and crisis.
Behavioral health providers
We believe that your mental and emotional well-being is just as important as your physical well-being.

- That includes more than 10% of children ages 2-5 and more than 15% of children ages 6-9.
- In the past 30 years, the percentage of overweight kids in the U.S. has more than doubled.

- Kids who are overweight have a 70% probability of being overweight or even obese as adults.
- That likelihood increases to 80% if one or both parents are overweight or obese.
We invite you to explore the KidSmart
website, which has helpful hints and tools for parents. And we encourage your kids to visit the kids
section of the site, too.
