Stroke is an emergency and should be treated as such. The greatest chance for recovery from stroke occurs when treatment is started immediately in a hospital emergency room.

If you suspect a stroke is occurring, call 911 immediately!

With proper care, you can prevent strokes and the disabilities they cause

Anyone can have a stroke, even a child or infant. Someone you care about could be at risk if they are not receiving regular medical care or have known risk factors. Up to 80 percent of strokes could have been prevented, so make time today to bring in a family member or friend for a checkup if you have a concern about stroke risk.
