For more than two decades, James Murphy, MD, has devoted his career to women's health. He chose obstetrics and gynecology because he liked the continuity of care similar to family practice combined with the ability to do surgery and handle emergencies. Dr. Murphy's favorite parts of his job are varied. He loves delivering babies, as well as performing gynecologic surgery to treat abnormal bleeding, both of which he knows has large effects on his patients' lives.
