He was the BEST male doctor I have ever seen. I felt beyond comfortable and educated after I left. I will continue to schedule with him as he seemed to put 14 years worth of pieces together in one visit AND had a plan ready to execute. I did not have to convince him of my issues or concerns. I was trusted in the process. This visit was life changing for me.

I felt heard and seen! As women of color I have been struggling with my medical providers to understand that menopause is causing my issues and no diet was going to fix it and needed more, it was starting to affect my mental health.. thank you Dr. Barker for understanding what my medical care needed!!!!

I was a little anxious when I arrived but Dr. Barker really put me at ease; he explained everything very thoroughly. It was a great experience. I appreciate the timely test results and comments.

I think Dr. Barker has a wonderful bedside manner. He is very compassionate. He treats you like an individual and tailors the appointment to your specific needs.

I will say that I had a referral from May and I did not get a call back until August. I do understand that it is difficult to get in with a physician, but I did think that it took an excessive amount to time to get in. Also, I had requested a female physician, but since it had taken so long to get in with Dr. Barker, I opted not to wait. I really liked him and felt that I got great care, from meeting his nurse and having her answer my questions, to having a procedure in the office. They were professional, courteous and competent.

Dr. Barker was beyond kind and super helpful. Also the first provider to speak to me about my weight in a positive way! Which made me feel good. He immediately gave me solutions and also immediately put me in for blood work for things we needed to check on. And I got my results the next day. Great experience!

I was nervous about my visit because it was the first time I saw Dr. Barker, but he and nurse Tracey made me so welcome and comfortable and I really appreciated that.

I love every doctor I’ve had with Novant! I want to give my biggest compliment to the nurse Jessica this nurse is simply amazing. They have treated me like family. I had my visit with the cancer institute today & my experience was amazing, I am still scared but both Dr. Baker & Barker both are taking great care of me. I’ve been dealing with this for some time now & I feel my health is improving.

Dr. Baker and his teams were absolutely gems! I’m usually not comfortable around male doctors especially OBGYNs but ever since I had him with my first pregnancy he’s been absolutely professional and so helpful. He makes it feel like a safe environment and he listens to my concerns

Dr. Barker is just simply a cut above the rest. He was compassionate and caring and very informative during the visit. I have never felt more comfortable during what most would report being a very uncomfortable appointment. I typically don’t have a preference on the doctor I see but moving forward Dr. Barker will be requested.

Dr Barker was a very nice, friendly and listened to me. This was my 1st visit with him, he was super and very professional. I really liked him, the staff was very nice and friendly also.

I felt like Dr. Barker truly listened to me. I had been talking about an issue for about 3 visits unsure if it was a normal pregnancy symptom or not, he was the first one I felt heard by and he ran some tests; now I’m being treated for the issue and on my way to getting better.
