My passion for pediatrics started early; I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician since I was 8 years old. A lifelong curiosity about the human body and how it works, combined with a deep affection for children, made the path clear. Science and caring for young patients have always gone hand in hand for me.

Dr Downing is so patient and always takes the time to listen to my son. She realized he was nervous about his shot so she talked to him about it and even recommended a shot blocker which worked so well he didn't even realize the shot was over.
