Dr Jennifer Dallas has been an amazing provider through the most difficult medical issue I’ve ever experienced. She discussed with me in absolute detail all of my options from the beginning and now I am in remission. Couldn’t ask for a doctor more attentive.

As I was growing up, my mother received several cancer diagnoses. Watching her and living through her journey is what sparked my passion for healthcare and, more specifically, cancer care. Over the years, I came to appreciate the unique relationship that forms between an oncologist and patient. And I believe that oncology is a field where one can truly make a difference at an important time in someone's life.

Today, I am a medical oncologist with a focus on lung cancer. I joined Novant Health in 2015 and started a medical oncology clinic here in Charlotte. Novant Health puts patients first, which is why I serve on several committees that are focused on continuously improving patient care. In addition, I serve on the Thoracic Oncology Council, which helps to find and select clinical trials for our patients.

One of my primary goals as your oncologist will be to bring you into the decision-making process. I'll do this by explaining your options and sharing my thoughts regarding diagnoses and treatments. I'll try to be a good listener, because I've found that listening is just as critical to providing remarkable care as analyzing the results of blood test and X-rays. I'll strive to answer all your questions. This is just good medicine, but more importantly, I will do all of this because the relationships that come from genuinely engaging with patients is the most rewarding part of my job.

My husband, who is also a physician, and I moved to Charlotte from Georgia in 2015 with our daughters, Isabella and Sophia. Outside of medicine, I love running and being outside with the family, including our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
