I've been dealing with kidney stones for years. Dr McPhail had ordered a 24 hour urine test. I had a procedure to remove stones earlier this year. In my post op follow up with the PA it wasn't mentioned and I forgot to ask. When I asked Dr McPhail he pulled up my 24 hour test results and went through several key results explaining in detail how those specific ones were likely causing my stones, why, and what I needed to do to improve those test results. This was probably my 3rd 24 hour urine test. The other 2 I was handed a list of foods to avoid for both calcium oxalate and uric acid stone but never reviewed the blood tests. I finally had someone explain to me how to improve my odds of not having kidney stone. Hats off to Dr MCPhail!
