A native of North Carolina, Dr. Peter Dorton is happy to be practicing close to home. He likes the variety that family medicine offers and enjoys helping people with acute problems, as well as management of chronic conditions and has a special fondness for adolescent medicine. While helping patients feel better is important to Dr. Dorton, he would rather help them stay well. He has a passion for motivating patients with the knowledge and resources to promote optimal health, happiness and healing, when necessary. When he is not working, Dr. Dorton enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Chasse Bailey-Dorton. Together they have three children and are an active family and participate in all kinds of sports and outdoor activities.
