A heartfelt touch on Valentine’s Day

The ancillary scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification and pre-visit collection teams made Valentine’s Day extra special for patients at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center (NHFMC). Together, the four teams from the Novant Health Customer Service Contact Center gathered the valentine-making necessities — colored construction paper, stickers and markers – and created 60 homemade Valentines!

Team members visited NHFMC tomaking valentine cards hand-deliver the valentine cards on Friday, Feb. 12th. Several patients said that the gesture really made their day. A couple of recipients said the cards were the first Valentines they had received in many years. 


Lee Ann Ballard, supervisor, Novant Health Customer Service Contact Center, said making these special deliveries was a great experience that left her colleagues feeling more connected to patients. “I am so proud of the teams that created and delivered the cards. They all worked together to demonstrate compassion and truly impacted our patients in a positive way,” she said. Thank you to all four teams for showing our patients just how much we care!
