WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health, which first implemented visitor restrictions in March to help control the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, today announced it will begin to lift some of those restrictions. The new visitation policies detailed below will go into effect Monday, June 8.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Novant Health and Wake Forest Baptist Health announced the opening of a new respiratory assessment center at the Highland Avenue Primary Care Clinic. Beginning Friday, June 5, the respiratory assessment center, located at 650 N. Highland Ave., Suite 120 in Winston-Salem, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Beginning Wednesday, June 3, hours of operation for all Novant Health respiratory and screening assessment centers in North Carolina will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Today, Novant Health, Inc., a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system headquartered in North Carolina, announced the launch of America’s first emergency drone logistics operation by a hospital for its pandemic response. The launch was made possible through a partnership with Zipline, the world’s only national scale, on-demand logistics service, which will provide drone flight services.
WINSTON-SALEM & CHAPEL HILL, N.C. ― Novant Health, UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine have signed a letter of intent to enhance medical education and clinical services at New Hanover Regional Medical Center (“NHRMC”), in the event the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners ultimately chooses to affiliate or form a joint venture with, or sell to Novant Health.
