Ribbon-cutting: Novant Health adds specialty care clinics in Lexington


Winston-Salem, N.C., June 5, 2019 – Novant Health is pleased to announce the opening of three new clinics: Novant Health Cardiology Lexington, Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Lexington, and Novant Health Rehabilitation Center - Lexington. The clinics are located at 144 Forest Hill Road, Suites 144 and 146, in Lexington, North Carolina.

The public is invited to an open house and ribbon-cutting event Monday, June 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce will conduct the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m., and a light lunch will be provided.  

Specialty clinics

Novant Health Cardiology Lexington will specialize in diagnostic services, prevention interventions, disease and condition management, and rehabilitation services. The clinic will be open Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:30 to 5 p.m. and will feature Dr. Usman Khawaja and Dr. Asif Wahid, both cardiologists. Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Lexington will offer on-site X-rays and treatment for hip, bone, knee, carpal tunnel and joint pain. The clinic will also specialize in sports medicine and concussion management, and it will offer workers’ compensation exams. The clinic will operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will feature a wide range of orthopedic and sports medicine specialists, including Dr. George Azar, Dr. Patrick King, Dr. Steven Potter and physician assistant Jonathan Adams. Novant Health Rehabilitation Center - Lexington will operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will feature physical therapy, occupational therapy and sports rehabilitation services. For more information or to make an appointment, call 336-481-1770.
