The 20th annual John A. Campbell Memorial Golf
Classic has raised $145,000 for the Cancer Care Center at Novant Health Rowan
The event, hosted by the Novant
Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation along with presenting sponsors MSS
Solutions and Vannoy Construction, was held May 4 at the Country Club of
Salisbury. It drew 250 participants, a record for the tournament.

care that’s close to home for residents of Rowan and neighboring counties.

library and classrooms.
With proceeds from the tournament,
the foundation also provided seven $1,000
scholarships to area high school seniors who are interested in pursuing healthcare
Since its founding, the golf tournament has raised more
than $1.9 million for Rowan Medical Center, said Kristen Trexler, the
foundation’s manager of program development. The tournament is named for John
A. Campbell, the first executive director of the foundation.
