Charlotte, N.C. Aug. 19, 2016 – For the fifth year in a row, Novant Health will treat high school sports injuries after-hours at its sports injury clinics now through Nov. 12. The clinics will take place at Novant Health Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine in Matthews on Fridays from 10 to 11 p.m. and at Novant Health Lakeside Family Physicians and Urgent Care (19485 Old Jetton Road, Suite 100, Cornelius, North Carolina) on Saturdays from 9 to 10 a.m.
On Friday, Sept. 9, the Novant Health Foundation Brunswick Medical Center will host its fifth annual golf tournament at Carolina National Golf Course at Winding River. The year’s tournament will again be hosted by the volunteers at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, and the co-chairmen are Bob Curts and John LeFebvre.
Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 10 – Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center announced today that the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services has officially designated the hospital as a level III trauma center. This achievement recognizes that Presbyterian Medical Center meets the state criteria to provide around-the-clock assessment, resuscitation, stabilization and life-saving intervention to patients experiencing traumatic injury.

Matthews, N.C., Aug. 8, 2016 – Novant Health Matthews Medical Center has opened a brand new Women’s Center. The two-story, 26,000-square-foot addition links directly to the hospital and serves as a one-stop shop for the community’s maternity and gynecologic needs.
