Our events
Novant Health takes an active part in the communities we serve. Here are a few of the events we have regularly attended in recent years:
Hola Festival
Hola Charlotte is the largest Hispanic Heritage celebration in Charlotte highlighting Latin American culture and all its richness. The event engages both general market and Hispanics of all backgrounds and ages. The Novant Health community cruiser was at HOLA Festival in Charlotte and provided over 160 flu shots free of charge.
Pride
Pride is an annual festival highlighting the self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of LGBTQ people as a community. Novant health participates in Pride in various communities, including Charlotte, Salisbury and Winston Salem. Each year we offer resources to LGBTQ patients and visitors by connecting them with compassionate providers and services we offer.
Hoops for Heroes Tournament
The Hoops for Heroes Tournament at the Spectrum Arena is an event that the Charlotte Bridge Home (veteran’s organization) and the Charlotte Hornets host, where a portion of the proceeds go back to the Charlotte Bridge Home. The veteran’s business resource group helped to create the Novant Health team and most of the team was made up of veterans.
Vida y Salud
Novant Health is proud to have sponsored and presented Vida y Salud (Life and Health), a premier health and wellness event for Latino and Hispanic families in the greater Charlotte area. Several Novant Health team members, including members of our Latino/Hispanic business resource group (BRG), attended the expo to provide free screenings and connect attendees with healthcare resources for themselves and their families.
