Polly Janos, a pulmonary disease navigator at both Novant Health Huntersville and Matthews Medical Centers, has been creating quilted canvases for more than 8 years. The self-taught artist uses her dreams as an inspiration and layers fabric over a canvas until a final form emerges. The creative pursuit is a release from the day’s stresses and a way to process life for her. She encourages patients she sees to find the same fulfillment in an activity that inspires them. Her work and that of other artists is on display at the Huntersville hospital.
