Isra Mohamed, a digital content strategist at Novant Health, was so moved by the plight of refugees fleeing turmoil in their countries that she volunteered as a Farsi interpreter at a large camp at the Greek Macedonian border in March of 2016. The mother of two spent several weeks at the camp that is home to more than 12,000 refugees from Syria, Afghanistan and many other countries. Here is what she witnessed.
