At Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center, your child’s health is one of our top priorities. Our kid-friendly staff of pediatricians, family medicine doctors and pediatric subspecialists provides compassionate, personalized care in a comforting environment.

If your child needs overnight care, we have a four-bed pediatric unit. All nurses are specially trained in pediatric care and are Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified.

If your baby needs it, we have a fully equipped Level 1 nursery, staffed 24/7 with board-certified neonatalogists, NICU-experienced nurses, and therapists to care for your newborn.

We also offer behavioral health services for children at our Manassas campus.

Providing the very best care for your child

Each of our rooms is equipped with a special sleep chair so that a parent may spend the night in comfort.

When it's time to eat, your child can choose from an easy-to-use kid’s menu. Just call the nutrition services department and tell them what your child would like and the meal will be delivered within 30 minutes. The meal times are:

  • Breakfast is from 7 to 10 a.m.
  • Lunch is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Dinner is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The unit is equipped with its own nutrition room so nurses can provide parents with coffee, juices etc.
