Our Parent Advisory Board (PAB) officers assume their positions in January of each year.
Chairperson: Is elected by a majority vote of the PAB and serves a one year (12 month term) with the option to serve two additional terms for a total of three consecutive years. There is a three month overlap between January-March at the end of service for training the new Chair position. The Chair prepares the agenda and presides over all meetings, including conference calls or webinars. The Chairperson may also participate in all activities including voting on any matter of the PAB and is responsible for assuring project goals are met and communicates with the project team leaders to ensure progress and reports are brought before the PAB. The Chair reports and collaborates with the facilitator on non-voting matters of the PAB as needed.
Vice-Chair: A voluntary position approved by the PAB for a 12 month term. Consecutive terms with no cap are permitted per PAB approval. The Vice-Chair assumes the responsibilities of the Chair in the event of their absence.
Secretary: A voluntary position approved by the PAB for a 12 month term. Consecutive terms with no cap are permitted per PAB approval. The secretary is responsible for the minutes of PAB meetings and their distribution. The Secretary collaborates with the Chair to ensure accurate documentation of business items and may serve as a communication aid between members and Chair during meetings as needed to ensure all discussions are noted and heard.
