Care for you and your baby continues when you return home

Making sure you and your baby get the care you need after you leave the hospital is an important step in family planning. Ask your care team for information about these and other programs that can be helpful for your recovery and your baby’s development:

  • Family Connects: An in-home or virtual visit gives you access to health checks for yourself and your baby, back-to-work support and other important family-centered resources. Available for Forsyth County residents. For information, call 336-718-4226 or visit NovantHealth.org/familyconnects.
  • Novant Health Forsyth Baby Café: Breastfeeding mothers can drop in with their babies for a virtual meeting. Baby Café is a place to connect with our lactation consultant and share experiences with other moms. Check our calendar of events for meeting dates and times, or call 336-718-5636.
  • Nursing Mother's Place: Get help from a board-certified lactation consultant. You also will have access other important resources, including baby care products and references. Call 336-718-5636 for information.
  • Postpartum depression therapy sessions: If you have symptoms of depression before or after giving birth, talk to your care team about options, including group therapy sessions on Sundays at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. For information, call 336-718-3550.
