The team at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center believes that quality healthcare should also be convenient. We offer several conveniently located pharmacies in the Winston-Salem area that provide prescription and over-the-counter medications at prices similar to or better than most retail pharmacies. Novant Health pharmacies also offer online prescription refills and free home delivery.

Bring your new prescriptions or refills to one of our Novant Health pharmacies and relax while our friendly staff fills your prescriptions quickly and accurately. If you have any questions about your medication, our skilled pharmacists are here to help.

Free home delivery

As an added convenience, Forsyth Medical Center offers free, mail order home delivery for new and refill prescriptions. We can also contact your doctor to request your 30-day refill be converted to a 90-day supply.

Please allow 7 to 10 days for processing and delivery to your home by USPS mail. You will receive an automated courtesy call when your prescription has been shipped. Note: Some medications cannot be mailed due to manufacturers’ guidelines.

Auto-refill prescription program

Do you have a medication you use regularly? Do you sometimes forget to call in your refills?

If so, consider taking advantage of our automatic refill service. Fill out the Auto-refill Prescription Form and we will send you a courtesy notification when your medications are ready for pickup or have been shipped.

This service is designed for patients who take medications on a regular basis to treat conditions such as cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure and birth control. Please note: some medications may not be eligible for automatic refills.

Our pharmacy accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, flexible spending and payroll deduction as well as all major insurance plans.

Mobile phone prescription refills

We also offer mobile phone prescription refills. If you would like to order refills from your mobile phone, follow these steps:

  • Navigate to

  • Click the Submit button.
  • Confirm your pharmacy name is listed at the top of the screen.
  • Select Express Refills.
  • Enter your refill Rx number(s).
  • If mail order is available, choose Mail Order (or Pickup)
  • Click the Submit button.
Email and text notifications

Enroll in our email notify or text alert service and you will be notified by email or text message when:

  • Your medication is ready for pick up.
  • Your medication has been shipped.

Transfer prescriptions

To transfer a prescription to a different Novant Health Pharmacy location or have it delivered to your home via USPS mail, fill out the Prescription Transfer Form and provide us with the information needed.

Ready At Home

Ready At Home is a free service from Forsyth Medical Center that simplifies your transition from the hospital to home. Our team coordinates important details around your discharge and at-home medications, so that you can focus on what really matters: getting better and staying healthy.

  • Your Ready At Home transition specialist is a licensed healthcare professional who will coordinate with your physician and other providers to determine your discharge needs.
  • If you need medications or other healthcare supplies, your transition specialist will consult with you to provide affordable solutions.
  • Medications and other supplies can be delivered directly to your room, so you don’t have to make a stop on the way home.
  • Most health and prescription insurance plans are accepted.
  • Discharge medications and supplies are not included in your hospital bill so we help ensure your insurer properly processes them.
Specialty Pharmacy

Specialty drugs are often unique due to their special handling and storage needs, method of delivery or premium price. If your doctor has prescribed you a specialty medication, Novant Health Specialty Pharmacy is here to help you.
