The Joint Commission accreditation
Forsyth Medical Center has been fully accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC). TJC accreditation involves evaluating a healthcare organization's performance in areas that most affect patient health and safety. To earn and maintain accreditation, we participate in extensive on-site reviews by a team of TJC healthcare professionals on a regular schedule.
National Stroke Care Certification
Forsyth Medical Center received the national Stroke Care Certification from The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The designation is awarded to facilities that demonstrate excellence in healthcare quality and meet the strict national standards set by JCAHO and the American Stroke Association.
Magnet Nursing recognition
The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) awarded the nursing program at Forsyth Medical Center for its excellence and quality in nursing care by naming it with Magnet Recognition. Only five percent of all hospitals nationwide have earned this high honor, which recognizes facilities that provide the highest level of nursing care. Learn More about the ANCC.
National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC)
Forsyth Medical Center's Breast Center has been granted a three-year / full-accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Accreditation by the NAPBC is only awarded to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest-level quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.
