Meeting the Healthcare Needs of a Growing Coastal Region

Nothing is more important to us than ensuring our neighbors across southeastern North Carolina have the best possible care. Our team has long been part of this community, caring for one another through hurricanes and pandemics, leading advancements in care, and guiding our growth.

Novant Health continues to expand access through a growing network of providers, specialty services, and community partnerships. Some of our biggest leaps forward have come in the last few years: we opened a new neurological hospital, bringing the latest technology and top physicians to the area, added locations to provide advanced care to cancer patients, and expanded our network of primary care and specialty physicians to provide faster access to appointments.

That momentum continues in 2026 with a new medical center in Scotts Hill, a surgical center in Leland, expanded specialty care in Midtown Wilmington, and future plans for a new, state-of-the-art home for heart and vascular care connected to our full network of local cardiologists, heart surgeons and trauma specialists to ensure you get the best care in every situation.

As our region grows, we remain committed to growing with it—strengthening access, investing in our teams and delivering the care our communities need most.
