I was raised in a small town in the mountains of West Virginia. My father was a greatest generation World War II veteran who instilled into me the values of diligence, integrity and compassion. When I was growing up, I thought about how I could blend these values with use my skills and gifts to serve people; medicine seemed a natural choice.
Today, I feel honored and grateful to be a physician. I enjoy helping people improve their health and understand both wellness and disease. To me, medicine is about much more than just prescribing pills - it's about holistically helping people heal throughout their lives and become the best version of themselves. As a family physician, I feel that I am in a special place to directly impact people's lives in a variety of ways every day, and I'm very grateful for that opportunity.
I am also grateful to be married to my wonderful wife and fellow Disney fan, Tina. We have four grown children and four dogs that keep us both busy and loved. I enjoy reading, writing, taking in the beauty of nature and always pursuing my personal and spiritual growth.
