Learn More
As a vascular surgeon, I treat diseases affecting the arteries and veins that carry blood to and from the heart. I treat many parts of the body and many disease processes. I do open, complex surgeries and endovascular, or minimally invasive, procedures. The treatments we can provide for our patients are changing and improving with new technologies, and that makes my career interesting.

I follow many of my patients over the long term and enjoy developing relationships with them. I try to get to know each one as a person and make it a point to spend time listening to their concerns, as many have more than one medical problem that we are able to screen for or address.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children. We're big-time fans of the Clemson Tigers and return to our alma mater each fall for football games - it's like homecoming every game day. When we're not watching football, we all enjoy biking, hiking, kayaking and tending the garden we plant each spring.
