While I've worked with many patients over my career, I've always felt a special connection when working with women and older adults.

I have decades of experience in nursing, including more than a decade on the faculty at the UNC Greensboro School of Nursing, where I earned their Teaching Excellence Award.

A wife and mother of two young men, I hail from the North Carolina mountains and have lived in the Piedmont Triad for more than 20 years. We are an outdoorsy family that spends a great deal of time hiking, boating, skiing and camping. Most of our adventures include our dogs, although we are equal cat and dog lovers. I love to travel abroad and have participated in medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Peru.
