Many vascular laboratory tests can be completed in our clinic, including:

  • Carotid duplex scans (to examine how blood is flowing through the carotid arteries in the neck)
  • Venous duplex scans (to examine the veins that return blood to the heart; can show blood clots or reveal issues causing varicose veins)
  • Arterial duplex scans (to examine blood flow in the arms and legs)
  • Bypass graft duplex surveillance (to assess blood flow after a bypass graft is completed on a vein)
  • Iliac artery duplex scan (to examine function of arteries in the lower abdomen)
  • Aorta duplex scan (to examine the function of aorta, the main artery in the abdomen)
  • Mesenteric duplex scan (to examine blood flow to the liver, spleen, stomach and intestine)
  • Renal artery duplex scan (to examine blood flow to the kidneys)
  • Echocardiograms (an ultrasound of the heart; can be done with or without physical activity)
  • Vascular ultrasound (a test using sound waves to examine blood vessels)
  • Treadmill testing (to assess heart function during activity)

Should you a need cardiac or vascular surgery, our providers will work with you to explain your treatment options and determine which is best for you. Cardiac procedures our providers regularly complete include:

  • Open heart surgery (to address issues related to the structure and function of the heart)
  • Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG; used to treat coronary artery disease by routing blood around a narrowed portion of an artery)
  • Heart valve replacement/repair
  • Minimally invasive mitral and aortic surgery (to repair the mitral valve and/or aorta)
  • Surgery to address atrial fibrillation (AFib; irregular heartbeat)
  • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR; minimally invasive procedure that addresses an aortic valve that does not open correctly)

  • Coronary and peripheral angioplasty and stenting (to open blocked blood vessels using a balloon)
  • Cardiac catheterization (a procedure in which a thin tube is inserted into an artery or vein and threaded through blood vessels to your heart; used to diagnose or treat cardiovascular conditions)
  • Cardiac ablation (a procedure to destroy tissue causing an abnormal heart rhythm)
  • Placement of cardiac devices including loop recorders, pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), and inferior vena cava (IVC) filters

Vascular/vein procedures include:

  • Traditional and minimally invasive vascular surgery
  • Arterial surgery (to fix or bypass a blocked artery)
  • Venous surgery (to fix or remove a vein)
  • Thoracic aortic aneurysm repair (surgery through the chest to repair the aorta)
  • Surgery for thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms (weaknesses in the major blood vessel that supplies blood to the body)
  • Treatment for spider veins and varicose veins, including injection sclerotherapy, saphenous vein ablation and ambulatory phlebectomy
  • Treatment for suspected or confirmed deep vein thrombosis (DVT), May Thurner syndrome and post-phlebitic syndrome (after blood clots)
  • Carotid surgery or stenting including extracranial revascularization surgery (to addresses blockages in or other problems with the carotid artery)
  • Treatment for IVC filters (filters placed in the interior vena cava to prevent blood clots from entering the lungs)
