Novant Health Endocrinology – Midtown provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for disorders of the endocrine system. The endocrine system is made up of glands that produce hormones. These include the pituitary, thyroid and adrenal glands. When these glands no longer function normally, hormone imbalances can affect your growth, metabolism, sexual function or other operations. Our providers will work to understand your condition and determine the right treatment or management plan for you.

Conditions we regularly treat include:

• Diabetes (insufficient insulin production, resulting in too much sugar in the bloodstream)
• Thyroid disorders (hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer)
• Parathyroid disorders
• Osteoporosis (bone thinning)

• Adrenal disorders (including male hypogonadism)

We offer a number of diagnostic tests in our office. This saves you from making an extra appointment or a trip to different location and ensures your provider can make a diagnosis without delay. Tests we offer include:

• Blood tests (to check hormone levels)
• Ultrasound (noninvasive tests that can be used to examine parts of the endocrine system)
• Fine-needle aspiration biopsies (used to examine lumps or masses less invasively)
• Insulin administration or pump training (for diabetes patients)
