Our team of diabetes educators and registered dietitians is here to help you choose foods and activities that can help you get the most out of life.
We serve patients from birth through adulthood with the following programs and offerings:
- General nutrition education
If you have an interest in eating healthier but are unsure of where to start, our nutritionists can help you create a plan and find recipes that work for you.
- Help with diabetes technology
Insulin pumps and glucose monitors play an important role in managing your diabetes. If you’re trying to upgrade the system you’re using, we can help you make the switch during an appointment.
- Diabetes self-management program
This program is designed to help people of all ages learn methods and techniques that can make it easier to manage their diabetes. Through group and one-on-one sessions, our team teaches skills such as how to notice and handle unhealthy spikes in your blood sugar.
- Diabetes and pregnancy program
If you have diabetes and plan to become pregnant or are pregnant, it is important to keep a close eye on your blood sugar level. We can help you monitor it throughout your pregnancy while offering guidance on how to maintain a healthy diet, exercise routine and level of stress.
Unusually high blood sugar levels during pregnancy (gestational diabetes) can be managed through stress reduction and other healthy habits, including eating well and exercising. We can help guide you through it, so you and your baby can stay as healthy as possible.
- Medical nutrition therapy
Our registered dietitians will work with you to develop meal plans and snack options that reduce symptoms related to a chronic medical condition. Whether you have a food allergy or high blood pressure (hypertension), we can help.
