Appointments
Our goal is to give you easy access to the care you need. To assist with this process, please contact your insurance company to verify coverage prior to making an appointment. After your first visit, you can schedule your appointment using the MyChart digital tool.
Please arrive on time for your appointment to help us serve all visitors promptly. Arriving more than 15 minutes late will require that you reschedule your appointment. To reschedule or cancel an appointment, call at least 24 hours in advance.
What to bring to an appointment
- Insurance card
- Insurance copayments and payments toward your deductible. If you are responsible for the full cost services you received, please pay your balance at the time of your visit.
- List of your current prescriptions and/or over-the-counter medications, along with information about doses and frequency of use
- Records of your medical and surgical history
Novant Health Carolinas Surgical - Matthews schedules new patient appointments with a referral from your physician for general surgery and oncology surgery. For weight loss surgery and related services, you can schedule a visit without a referral. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment to complete required paperwork. Please bring your health insurance card.
