Dr. Grote was instrumental in the formation of Forsyth Regional Cancer Center in 2002 and served as medical director from 2002 to 2013. He is co-creator of the center's patient navigation, genetics and quality control programs, as well as its tumor boards and advisory committees. His community service includes working as medical director of Hospice and Palliative Care Center, becoming a speaker for cancer services and serving on the hospice board. Dr. Grote has published articles and spoken nationally and internationally about his research in clinical oncology including presentations at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). When he is not working, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and three children.
