What I enjoy most about being a dietitian in weight management is seeing patients reach their goals and being able to celebrate with them week after week. I truly care for my patients, and feel grateful to participate in improving their overall health.
My passion for helping people manage their weight can be traced to my experience working at a long-term care community for the elderly. It was my first job as a dietitian, and I quickly saw how many residents were dealing with health issues related to obesity and unhealthy eating habits. By shifting my focus to weight management, I've been able to help people, including teenagers, make food choices that can reduce their risk of chronic illnesses.
My passion for helping people can be attributed to my parents. My father was a lawyer, and my mother was a hairdresser. I grew up watching them care for the local community.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. We like trying new local restaurants, wineries and breweries, as well as being outdoors. In my personal time, I like to go hiking and read fiction. I am from the Triad area, having grown up in Pfafftown, and moved to the Clemmons area because of its growth and community life.
