I help people reach their wellness goals through a healthier relationship with food. I do this by providing nutritional counseling, meal planning and other support. Working alongside a team of surgeons, nurses and fitness trainers, I am committed to helping people improve their overall well-being.
As a registered dietitian, I believe having a healthy relationship with food is the keystone to wellness, and that depriving ourselves of certain foods is neither healthy nor sustainable. All foods can be included in a healthy diet. That is true whether you have diabetes, are trying to qualify for bariatric surgery, or are looking to reduce your long-term risk of heart disease or the other chronic illnesses linked to obesity. As your nutrition counselor, my job is to provide the guidance you need to achieve healthy weight loss regardless of your palate, age or cultural and socioeconomic background.
Everything about food fascinates me, from its impact on human health to its cultural significance and techniques for preparation. I love to cook and develop new recipes that are as delicious as they are healthy. Nutrition is a field where I never stop learning.
I moved back to North Carolina from New York in 2019 so I could be close to my large extended family after earning my master's degree. When not visiting them, I enjoy reading, hiking, visiting breweries and - of course - cooking and trying new restaurants.
