As a dietitian, I can honestly say food is one of my favorite things. My goal is to work with patients to create a plan that takes into account their favorite foods, activities, cooking styles and family support. The plan they choose should be realistic and sustainable.
I grew up in New Jersey and currently live in North Carolina with my husband and dog.
I received my bachelor's degree in human nutrition, food and exercise from Virginia Tech University; interned at Loyola University Chicago; and earned a master's degree in clinical nutrition at the University of Saint Joseph in Connecticut.
When it comes to nutrition, I feel conversations are filled with so much misinformation. Telling someone less is more, for example, could leave them feeling restricted and confused about what to eat.
I want to show my patients that they can take their health into their own hands through small lifestyle changes. I believe making nutrition a priority helps us get the right type of fuel multiple times a day. This is a way to celebrate our bodies.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and taking small trips on the weekend.
