Program description
The focus of the PGY1 pharmacy residency program at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center is to develop clinical pharmacists who are able to provide optimal patient care and improve patient outcomes. Upon graduation, the resident should demonstrate professional leadership skills and ability to function as a competent practitioner in a variety of pharmacy practice areas and roles.
The residency program at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center provides a strong clinical foundation while allowing flexibility to meet the needs and interests of individual residents. The program goals, objectives, and evaluation processes are established in accordance to ASHP standards.

Service Leadership

Every other weekend staffing, alternating between first and second shift. Service includes functioning as lead pharmacist or verification pharmacist. Compensation of one weekday will be allowed for every weekend worked.
