Careers Residency programs Pharmacy residency programs PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency

Program description

The purpose of the PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency program at Novant Health is to produce residents who possess competencies that qualify them for clinical pharmacist positions in ambulatory or specialty care clinics. The program also positions residents to be eligible for board-certification and/or other certifications related to ambulatory care.

Our program is focused on developing well-rounded general practitioners and provides a full 12 months of training. During that time, the pharmacy resident will have the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team of professionals and spend time in various outpatient clinics affiliated with Novant Health. The resident will also precept pharmacy students and/or pharmacy residents.
