Program description
The 2-year Specialty Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency program at Novant Health will prepare pharmacy leaders for success in a complex and evolving healthcare environment. The Novant Health Pharmacy Services team includes over 500 FTE supporting 15 acute care facilities, 5 specialty pharmacies, 12 infusion centers, and over 500 outpatient clinic locations across 4 states. This program offers candidates the opportunity to train in a large, integrated health-system and gain knowledge, skills, and experience within a well-established, dually accredited specialty pharmacy program working with teams and leaders who are dedicated to improving the health of our communities, one person at a time.

Program completion
Upon completion, residents will have gained the following:
- Achievement of 90% of all goals marked as achieved for residency
- Clinical expertise in specialty pharmacy practice
- Leadership competencies to develop a new or lead an existing specialty pharmacy program
- Completion of a Master’s Degree
- Completion of a longitudinal research project
